not altering its essential content. Its facts, details, tone, and information
come out exactly the same as they were before. Rewriting a manuscript
is an alteration of form. A manuscript rewrite upgrades the wording of
your manuscript to make the work publishable.
Who requires this kind of work? If you come to us to rewrite a
book, it's probably because you've already displayed the commitment
and energy required to get the book drafted, but the language is knotted
and/or scrambled, and in need of a deep professional reworking.
Editing alone would be too light
to address your needs. Proofreading alone would barely scratch the surface.
Nonetheless, many companies only offer these two services, and then shrug
their shoulders when they send you back a manuscript that's only been
slightly improved.
